Bosch Security Systems is reporting an excellent response to its technologies - both CCTV and intruder detection - at IFSEC 2008Bosch Security Systems is reporting an excellent response to its technologies on show at the recent IFSEC 2008.  Not only did Bosch came away with tangible enquiries from a cross-section of quality installers, consultants and end-users interested in its CCTV, Intruder and Communications technologies, but it also won ‘Intruder Alarm Product of the Year' for its newly launched Professional Series duel tech detector with anti-mask at the industry awards.

Also at IFSEC, in a presentation made to invited guests, Gert van Iperen, Executive Vice-President of Bosch Security Systems, announced Bosch's cooperation agreement with Axis Communications and Sony Corporation, he said: "Together we will be cooperating to create an international open forum to develop a standard for the interface of network video products - the first of its kind in the security industry.  Currently there is no global standard defining how network video products such as cameras, video encoders, and video management systems should communicate with each other.  The new standard is expected to comprise interfaces for video streaming, device discovery and intelligence metadata.  The framework of the standard, incorporating the key elements of network video product interoperability, will be released in October 2008 at the Security show in Essen, Germany."

Visitors to the Bosch stand will have seen new generation CCTV management technology for the first time in the form of Bosch Divar MR, along with the innovative Bosch Video Management System (BVMS), the enterprise IP video security solution that provides seamless management of digital video, audio and data across any IP network.

From its Intruder range, visitors will have also seen the new award-winning Professional Series detector which uses Bosch's innovative Sensor Data Fusion technology to integrate and process data from up to five different internal sensors with the ability to adjust sensitivities for the most intelligent and accurate alarm decisions ever.  Active white light suppression eliminates false alarms from white light such as car headlights and it also features Multi-Point Anti-Mask with Spray Detect technology, which is compliant with all of the latest international regulatory standards for detection of objects covering or placed in front of the detector.

Bosch Video Management System (BVMS), the enterprise IP video security solution, provides seamless management of digital video, audio and data across any IP networkDuring the course of IFSEC, Bosch held a well-attended series of seminar sessions entitled ‘Beyond the NVR - a look at the next generation of IP surveillance technologies' given by Dr Bob Banerjee, Product Marketing Manager for IP video products in North America.  Dr. Banerjee gave his perspective on several topics, including the benefits of open systems; the most effective architectures for typical IP video surveillance installations, and important aspects of the demo, spec and quote cycle for these solutions.

Commenting on the success of the show, Paul Wong, UK Managing Director of Bosch Security Systems, concluded:  "The culmination of much hard work resulted in the timely announcement at IFSEC of our cooperation agreement with Axis and Sony to develop a standard for the interface of network video products.  The announcement was very well received and we very much look forward to reporting the outcome of this collaboration.  IFSEC is always a good platform to announce new plans and reveal new products and we are pleased to see that Bosch's commitment to research and development has resulted in an award for our Professional Series detector."
