Raytec and Axis have held many joint regional test night demonstration events across the UK, Denmark and Sweden
Raytec won the award at Axis' recent Channel Convergence Conference held in Turkey

CCTV Lighting specialists Raytec have been awarded first place for ‘Best Axis Technology Partner’ in Northern Europe at Axis’ recent Channel Convergence Conference in Turkey this June. The conference united over 180 Axis partners and was focused around the evolution of network video surveillance. Partners included distributors, resellers and system integrators, as well as software developers and technology partners. Axis shared their latest products and technology innovations, with the aim of encouraging integration opportunities and exploring strategies for specific industry segments.

Raytec are a long standing Axis technology partner, and both companies recognise that lighting can be an extremely powerful tool when combined with network video.

Raytec are committed to working closely with Axis to educate the security industry on the benefits of designing and installing the correct illumination solution for a network camera system. The benefits not only include high quality images at night but also energy and cost savings, as well as reductions on bandwidth and storage and increased video analytics capability.

Raytec and Axis have held many joint regional test night demonstration events across the UK, Denmark and Sweden. The test nights were aimed at helping all security professionals achieve the best results and maximise the performance of the system when using lighting in conjunction with network cameras. Other activities have included online webinar training, workshops and joint technology papers as well as an ongoing commitment to joint product integration and development.

“We see lighting playing a critical role in the success of network video, not only in providing necessary and sufficient lighting levels for network video but also in providing a dynamic, intelligent and bespoke solution”, comments Shaun Cutler, Joint MD of Raytec. “Raytec are delighted to work with Axis as part of our own Technology Alliance Partner Programme (TAPP) and are extremely proud to be given the award of Best Axis Technology Partner for the Northern European region”. The benefits of integrating the right lighting into network video solutions are already realised in enterprise installations the world over.
