The increasing risk of attacks and vandalism affects car park users and operators equally.  The requirements are for a round-the-clock functional monitoring solution, a solution that builds on existing infrastructure at the same time as being economical to implement.

According to a poll conducted by a market-research agency, the subject of security takes top priority in car parks.  Car park operators must increasingly fulfil these expectations.

With the "Sevis solution", the integrator DSS (data security & service) offers a specific monitoring system for car parks.  The solution integrates the monitoring software of the Axis partner "Milestone" with the Designa-carpark-module from DSS and Axis network cameras.

The "Sevis solution" has been used successfully since December 2002 in the car park of Ruhr-Park Parkhausbetriebsgesellschaft mbH in Essen.

"Our aim is to guarantee our car park visitors the greatest possible security.  At the same time we also wanted to ensure that our investment as a car park operator was protected, despite increasing vandalism.  The "Sevis solution" offers all this," says Michael Hülser, Manager Ruhr-Park Parkhausbetriebsgesellschaft mbH.

With its "Sevis solution", DSS has developed a special adaptation to the requirements of car park operators.  The integration solution includes the Milestone car park monitoring software, the Designa-carpark-module and AXIS 2100, 2120, 2420 IR and 2130 Network Cameras.  The software solution is based on the TCP/IP network protocol, which allows integration into the existing network.  Information from entrance and exit terminals, pay booths, barriers and external alarms is gathered and displayed centrally.  The video cameras are therefore an integral part of the car park system and provide information on pay booth break-ins, attacks, fraud or vandalism.

Why digital car park monitoring?  The "Sevis solution" is a 100% digital monitoring system that uses all the advantages of existing network cabling.  Combined with current IP technology it produces high-quality digital video picture.
