TSS (Traffic Safety Systems) - part of AD Group - which specialises in mobile CCTV solutions for the police, emergency services and local authorities, is a finalist in the 2007 National Business Awards Regional Programme sponsored by Orange.  The Awards have been described by The Chancellor of the Exchequer as "the UK's business Oscars."

The Oxfordshire-based company has been short listed in the Business Innovation of the Year category for the Midlands and East of England region - one of five regions covered by the programme.

It was TSS' PatrolVu vehicle mounted digital CCTV system designed specifically to help reduce street crime and anti-social behaviour that caught the eye of the first round judges.

Alan Mole, Managing Director of TSS, says:  "We are delighted to have reached the finals of the NBA Regional Programme and that our innovative approach to CCTV which is helping to tackle real issues on the ground - and our work to assist the emergency services in the move from analogue to digital technology - is being recognised by the wider business community."

Mike Faulkner, Group Director of the National Business Awards, said:  "While every category in our Awards programme is important, the Business Innovation of the Year is certainly a key one.  The ability to innovate in business is vital in the quest for a competitive edge and every one of the finalists deserves an Award."

The final result will be announced at the Midlands and East of England Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner to be held at Chesford Grange in Warwickshire on Wednesday 4th July.
