The DHU500 series of Pentaplex network DVRs will appeal to integrators working on IP-addressable systems
The DHU500 series of Pentaplex DVRs was awarded a 'best buy' recommendation from a British CCTV magazine

Digimerge, the Canadian-based DVR and camera manufacturer, has launched its products in the UK and Europe. The units consistently out-perform rival offerings in the value sector of the market and as installers and end-users seek competitive offerings in a straitened economy the range is likely to prove attractive.

The DHU500 series of Pentaplex network DVRs will appeal to integrators working on IP-addressable systems. Features such as 480 FPS live view and industry-leading Seagate™ hard drives have led to a recent ‘best buy' recommendation from a major British CCTV magazine serving the installer community.

Ontario-based Digimerge are an established brand boasting a pedigree of installations at government and private sector sites across Canada and North America with outstanding user feedback. The products will be distributed exclusively in the UK and Europe by ADI-Gardiner, this fact in itself underlining the industry's trust in product build quality.

Wayne Hurd, Executive VP Sales & Marketing at Digimerge, said: "After years of success in North America we considered the time was right to approach the European market. Unlike many foreign manufacturers who are only available by phone often with delay and time differences, we have set up an office in the UK [Shannon, Ireland]. We can position ourselves against cheaper Asian imports not only in terms of the reliability and functionality of our equipment but also on product and sales support that has already brought praise from the installer sector."

Mr Hurd continued: "While Digimerge prices are extremely keen it is not our style to cut corners and the office and warehouse premises we have set up are staffed by skilled engineers who can repair and turn product around in the unlikely event of problems as well as giving informed pre-sales advice."

Currently a flagship product, the Pentaplex network DVR has a standard storage capacity of 250GB from a continuous duty hard drive and built-in DVDRW for convenient recording backup. Other popular Digimerge offerings include high-resolution colour day/night cameras and IP network cameras including domes
