Compact access control panel from Honeywell
Honeywell's new pro2200 control panel offers easy scalability to meet changing security needs
Honeywell recently introduced a compact access control panel ideal for installations with limited space. The PRO2200 Professional Series, a 2x2-foot panel, can protect up to 16 doors and can be tailored to meet a wide range of applications while saving installation costs and mounting space.

The PRO2200 is compatible with several Honeywell access control platforms, including WIN-PAK® SE, PE and WIN-PAK® PRO Central Station. The panel can expand the overall system in two-door increments, which gives users flexibility to easily expand their access control solution as needs change. Additional modules such as input and relay boards fit in PRO2200's unique compact enclosure to provide elevator control, door monitoring and alarm outputs for sounders and other devices, including temperature sensors, motion sensors, glass break detectors and intrusion panels.

"Space is at a premium in commercial real estate, and it shouldn't be an obstacle to providing effective protection," said John Smith, senior channel marketing manager, Honeywell. "The PRO2200 gives companies the flexibility they need to adequately protect their facilities while reducing installation and space headaches."

Additional benefits of the panel include 32-bit processing for fast transactions, flexible card reader formats, multiple communications paths and customisable offline modes in the event the panel loses power or communications. The PRO2200 panel supports a standard database of 20,000 cards and transaction buffer of 5,000 transactions, but offers the flexibility to extend the card database to 50,000 cards and 35,000 transactions per control panel.

Honeywell will offer two free webinars for dealers that cover a thorough hardware/software overview, discuss ideal installation opportunities, and show how PRO2200 and WIN-PAK fit into a comprehensive product portfolio.
