Honeywell's new seismic sensing capability combined with the Galaxy Dimension security solution provides a compelling new proposition for banks and financial institutions enabling them to fully protect their assets in a cost effective, user-friendly solution.

With the addition of the seismic sensing capability to its intrusion features, Galaxy Dimension now protects any high value storage units ranging from vaults, safes and fixed ATMs to more portable items such as portable ATMs, ticketing and vending machines.

The new series of seismic sensorshas been designed to detect vibrations arising from attempts to penetrate high value storage units common to banking and financial businesses.  Its compact size means that the sensor can fit inside hardware that is rapidly getting smaller, allowing businesses to safeguard items that were previously difficult to protect.  It also offers superior protection over a traditional shock sensor, which often lacks the sophisticated sensing capability to discriminate between ambient vibration and real attacks.  The sensors are highly reliable as they are able to detect all known types of attack by distinguishing the unique signatures associated with different types of attack from drilling and penetration using thermal lances to attacks using explosives.

Honeywell's Galaxy Dimension is perfect for banks' security

With variants for both fixed and portable units, these sensors offer optimal sensitivity and false alarm immunity depending on the type of object they are protecting and the environment.

Galaxy Dimension's common programming platform for both access control and intrusion features and its user-friendly interfaces and software make system set up really easy and help users to easily operate and manage the system:

  • Galaxy Dimension automatically tests all of the seismic sensors before the panel can be armed, removing the burden from the end user.
  • The TouchCenter keypad makes system operation so easy for users with its clear graphical touchscreen interface helping to reduce false alarms arising from operator error and the inconvenience and cost associated with engineer callouts.
  • Disruption to your banking or retail business activities is kept to a minimum using Galaxy's Remote Servicing Suite (RSS) software. Engineer site visits are reduced as maintenance and analysis can be carried out remotely, maintenance can also be scheduled at times and intervals that suit your business needs, ensuring optimum operating performance and reducing costs associated with security guards/personnel. Plus, the software's Remote Routine Inspection tool means that your security manager or Alarm Receiving Centre can provide you with the exact status of your system at any time.
