Honeywell will showcase a number of new products at IFSEC 2007 in Birmingham.  Honeywell Security will spotlight its ActivEye video analytics software; the ACUIX™ dome camera range; WIN-PAK® SE/PE with GALAXY integration - a single interface combining access control and video with intrusion detection; the Viewguard motion detector and the Domonial Tech Server wireless alarm system.

"The products and integrated solutions being introduced at IFSEC are each timely responses to security market needs in EMEA," said Johnny Allia, managing director, Honeywell Security and Custom Electronics EMEA.  "They serve to strengthen our position in the security technology market and are a continuation of our strategy to be first to market with innovation."

The security products being showcased by Honeywell Security at IFSEC include:

  • ActivEye video analytics software for security and surveillance applications.  ActivEye reviews vast amounts of raw video in real-time, using rules-based object detection, classification and tracking to distinguish suspicious activity from normal activity.  Alerts are generated that focus on customer-specified important events.
  • The ACUIX high performance pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) speed dome camera series.  These cameras feature multiple housing configurations and five integrated high-resolution, auto-focus camera/optic systems. The series includes a True Day/Night model with a 35X zoom featuring Wide Dynamic Range and Electronic Image Stabilisation for superior images that overcome unstable mounting and difficult lighting conditions.
  • WIN-PAK SE/PE with GALAXY integration, a single interface combining access control and video with intrusion capabilities. The software can control and manage employee or customer access to designated or restricted areas in many types of facilities and businesses.
  • The Viewguard motion detector combines infrared and microwave detection capabilities to provide maximum protection against false alarms.  With Viewguard, an alarm is activated only when the infrared and microwave components together detect movement.  Unlike conventional motion detectors, Viewguard emits high frequency electromagnetic waves which detect movement by reflection.
  • The Domonial Tech Server is a wireless alarm system suitable for residential or commercial sites and can be used in small to large homes with up to 30 wireless zones and up to 10 key fobs.
