Ingersoll Rand has augmented its grant-funding consultation capability |
As government entities, school districts and parents are searching for increased comprehensive security measures for their schools, Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies is providing its local Security and Safety Consultants (SSCs) with increased tools. For instance, many times the greatest impediment to protecting school children is funding. Therefore, Ingersoll Rand has augmented its grant-funding consultation capability to school administrators, facility and maintenance personnel and others by offering data from its 24/7 cloud-based database of federal and state grant funding information that identifies $11.5 billion in funding sources.
“Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies has been focused on school security and safety for many years and is well-known for its leadership in the education market,” emphasizes April Dalton-Noblitt, Ingersoll Rand director, vertical markets.” We continue to bring new innovation and services to help those who try to keep schoolchildren safe.”
Ingersoll Rand is also accelerating the number of complementary school safety seminars and webinars that it offers to school districts and emergency responders. These are one day seminars or one hour webinars entitled “Safe & Secure Schools” featuring Paul Timm, PSP(Physical Security Professional), one of the nation’s leading experts in school safety. These interactive sessions present proactive solutions, many of which can be implemented at little or no cost during these challenging economic times.
In addition, Ingersoll Rand’s new ‘Safe Schools’ website provides comprehensive information that schools can use immediately to increase awareness and safety and be more proactive. With it, school personnel can –
- Get the facts – Did you know that 81 percent of school attackers tell someone of their plans beforehand?
- Take action – School personnel can learn and implement practical tips for activities that help establish safety plans and encourage student and community involvement.
- Prepare their school – Administrators can utilize Ingersoll Rand’s online school safety assessment guide, learn how to design for crime prevention through environmental design and review lockdown procedures.
- Learn how to participate in School Safety Week, October 20-26 – They can start working on this endeavour now to get everyone involved in school safety.
“Our industry plays a key role in keeping our schools safe and secure. It is up to each and every one of us to make sure we are taking advantage of all the knowledge and resources available,” adds Dalton-Noblitt. “We urge school administrators to please call on your local Ingersoll Rand Security Safety Consultants, utilize their expertise and let them help you improve the security at your school.”
