The new Schlage multi-family access control and property management solution, Nexia Property Intelligence, provides an efficient, cost-effective way to manage one or more multi-family properties from anywhere. The new property management solution leverages leading access control technologies, such as smart cards, wireless access control and modular locking systems. This innovative cloud-based solution provides operational efficiencies that simplify security for multi-resident property owners as well as managers and developers of apartments, condominiums, off-campus student housing and retirement communities.

“Schlage has leveraged its century-old expertise in both residential and commercial access to create the next evolution in property management, one that transforms how multi-family residences are administered and controlled,” emphasizes Chris DeSchamp, portfolio leader, electronic security at Ingersoll Rand. “The new Nexia Property Intelligence suite provides multi-family building owners and managers with a simple migration path to electronic access control and increased credential security levels. The system is designed to grow with their businesses.”

The Nexia Property Intelligence solution features a cloud-based platform that provides remote credential management of common areas and resident doors for multiple buildings. It can minimize property management risk, increase return on investment through more convenient controlled access to additional revenue areas (e.g. laundry or vending machines), and can provide greater operation efficiency for property owners and managers. With electronic access control, owners and managers will no longer need to re-key a lock whenever a resident moves or a key is lost or stolen. They can remotely add, edit or delete user credentials from their computers via the cloud. By eliminating mechanical keys, property owners can reduce key costs, including cutting keys, tracking keys, replacing locks, rekeying locks and managing keys in the traditional manner.

With a click of a mouse, administrators can also set schedules and scenes such as limiting landscape maintenance workers to entering the grounds only from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.  Temporary credentials can also be provided with time schedules for painters and other interim workers. Administrators can retrieve audit trail reporting to determine who was where and when. They can also set access schedules for all common areas and facility amenities. For instance, the pool can remain locked from 10 p.m. until 8 a.m.

Multi-family property owners and managers can learn more about Nexia Property Intelligence by going to www.multifamily.schlage.com.

Ingersoll Rand will showcase the new Nexia Property Intelligence management solution in the Ingersoll Rand Booth, C3531, at the NAHB International Builders Show to be held in the Las Vegas Convention Center, January 22-24.
