Key details on Aurora Networks' solutions for Europe

Technetix is supporting sales and distribution of all Aurora Networks' products in targeted European markets; European cable operators are particularly interested in Fibre Deep, RFoG and segmentation solutions along with digital return technology.

Aurora Networks' Fibre Deep solution enables cable operators to significantly increase network capacity while reducing operating costs and energy consumption by greater than 50 percent, making Fibre Deep a truly-green technology for cable. Pushing fibre deeper into the network eliminates the need for RF amplifiers, which results in the removal of about 70 percent of actives found in a cable network, and that can reduce operational and maintenance costs by as much as 65 percent.

Industry-leading RFoG and RFPON (RFoG with a smooth migration to full PON) solutions enable cable operators to take advantage of FTTP architectures, incorporating unique components to overcome the deployment limitations associated with traditional approaches. Segmentation solutions from Aurora Networks include the company's xWDM technologies and the company's scalable node platforms that enable cable operators to easily and cost-effectively expand their networks.

Digital return fully supports cable operators launching upstream channel bonding with DOCSIS® 3.0, completely overcoming the performance limitations of analogue return. Digital return brings both performance and operational savings to an operator. The scalability of digital return, from return concatenation to full segmentation, provides a compelling fibre-efficient solution.
