MDI, Inc., the leading manufacturer of Unified Technologysolutions for the security industry today announced that two separate initial orders for the ONE Unified Technology platform, have been placed by MDI certified integration partner Dyskret, Ltd., in Poland, specializing in building management and the centralized integration of security system components.  These orders will be installed as part of a physical and electronic security upgrade initiative for the Warsaw Financial Centre and the Krakow National Museum.  Both customers' existing systems will be unified into the ONE security operating system for complete security command and control.

Located in the heart of the city, the 34 stories Warsaw Financial Centre is one of Poland's largest and most prominent office structures and is a landmark of the Polish economy.  It is considered to be the new standard for hi-rise office developments in Central Europe.  The Centre consists of over 70,000 square meters of office space and lies in the economic centre of the Polish capital.  Among the major tenants are the Worldbank, the European Commission and GE Financial Services.

The Krakow National Museum is one of the largest in Poland and home to several hundred thousand precious objects and many of the country's most cherished and priceless treasures.  It houses more riches than any other museum in the country including the most prominent collection of Polish art and invaluable ancient collections relevant to European and world heritage.

These installations will utilize many of the ONE Unified Technology platform's specialized modular plug-in features for hi-rise and museum applications such as Elevator Control and Guard Tour, which is a software module driven by a configurable electronic schedule that ensures the correct guards on duty are making their scheduled inspections at the appropriate place and time.  A guard's failure to present the proper credential at a pre-scheduled location and time results in an alarm that is received by the systems central command.

The unique customization and configuration features of the ONE platform allow security personnel to manage by exception across multiple layers of protection.  As an anomaly or incident takes place, the automated platform commands a series of pre-configured security events to occur, allowing security managers to command and control building, access and video surveillance functions aimed at containing or minimizing the threat.  These automated functions tie in to all products that are unified within the platform, allowing for timely human decision-making and response to take place based on the level of threat to people, facilities and assets.

Other large MDI systems projects, which are being spearheaded by Dyskret's professional security team, include the Krakow Jagiellonian Library, which is the second largest and oldest national library, dating back to the XIV Century and housing over 3 million published works; and the fascinating 39 story Warsaw INTRACO building, which covers over 31,500 square meters of office space, a world class restaurant on the top floor and a 200 car parking garage.

MDI and Dyskret will continue to work together to provide similar state-of-the-art access control, alarm management and video surveillance systems unification to new and existing commercial and government buildings across Poland.
