Organized by A&S Group as part of SecuTech Expo, GDSF showcases the latest global security and IT technologies and solutions for the Chinese security market. This year's forum focused on ‘intelligence' in security and examined CMS (Central Management Systems) in different applications. The event was comprised of 36 exhibition booths and 28 conference sessions, including two full-day seminars on new-generation digital surveillance, featuring four tracks: Key Trends and Architecture of CMS; Platforms for Different Applications; Intelligence, Management and Network Security in CMS; Hardware Components for CMS; and Key Semiconductor and Other Technologies.
As the worldwide leader in intelligent video, ioimage played a key role in the event. Vice President Marketing Dvir Doron spoke on Video Analytics as a Sensor - and how this will impact Businesses in the industry. Doron's presentation explained how sensor-grade video analytics is unravelling new opportunities, changing cost models and bridging the path to converged security, as well as how to learn from experience with real life examples.
"Video analytics is consistently becoming more accurate, reliable and cost effective than alternate sensors such as PIRs," said Doron. "This trend is very pertinent to the Chinese market which is being driven by increasing demands in different sectors for integrated, intelligent solutions, particularly in light of upcoming international events such as the 2008 Beijing Olympics Games and the 2010 Shanghai World Expo."
