Raytec, specialist manufacturers of professional CCTV Lighting, have announced the supply of Infra-Red and White-Light LED illuminators to major ports and airports within Europe.

Raytec illuminators are used to deliver high quality CCTV during the vulnerable hours of darkness.  At ports and airports illumination is typically used to protect the perimeter of a site against intrusion at night.  However, Infra-Red or White-Light can be used to deliver night-time pictures from any camera.  Zurich airport in Switzerland recently used several RAYMAX Infra-Red illuminators as part of a camera system designed to read number plates.  Additionally a number of sea ports are now using Raytec Infra-Red to monitor the coast line or RAYLUX white-light to monitor cargo holding areas.

David Lambert of Raytec says, "Airports and seaports need the highest levels of security, particularly during the hours of darkness when a security breach is most likely.  Professional illuminators are essential to delivering 24 hour images at critical infrastructure locations and we are delighted to see our customers opting for Raytec.  Customers specify Raytec illuminators for our long distances, low maintenance and Raytec's industry leading 5 year warranty.  Our illuminators are particularly suited to port and airport security where long illumination distances and high durability are required in exposed environments".
