Infinova introduces 2.0 megapixel IP camera at IFSEC India ans ASIS 2010
V6221-G Series camera that features a 1/2.5" progressive scan CMOS sensor and a 10x optical zoom lens
Infinova announced that it will introduce its new V6221-G Series 2.0 megapixel network zoom camera that features a 1/2.5" progressive scan CMOS sensor and a 10x optical zoom lens at Booth 1447 during the ASIS International Seminar and Exhibition to be held October 12-15 in the Dallas Convention Centre and at IFSEC India, November 23-25 in Mumbai.

Ideal for any surveillance application, V6221-G cameras capture the smallest detail and provide the horizontal view of several standard definition cameras. For instance, the camera can see and track license plates in changing lighting conditions or view an entire parking lot perimeter with one camera.

"This is the camera that our users in retail malls/shopping centres (especially interiors), transportation hubs (especially on concourses), warehouse, all types of lobbies and other high-incident locales have requested of us," explains Mark S. Wilson, Infinova Vice President, Marketing. "Now, Infinova integrators can present a camera with a 2.0 megapixel format to capture greater detail or offer a wider field of view."

The new network zoom cameras use both H.264 and MJPEG compression formats to meet users' special needs and deliver excellent, reliable images while working in a network environment. Resolution is as high as 1920 x 1080 in the H.264 format. Users can use the MJPG format, especially at higher resolutions. However, for those needing to record higher frame rate images or using the corporate IT infrastructure, H.264 creates good video quality at substantially lower bandwidth and less storage requirements.

The V6221-G Series of cameras also feature an optional SD card storage device; assuring images are recorded in case the camera becomes disconnected from the network. Cameras also include bi-directional audio and a PoE power supply, which ensures high security and convenience for both installer and user. The new cameras provide multiple ways of handling alarms, including sending an email, FTP upload, audible alarm, SD storage (trigger recording) and relay output.
