ADI Global Distribution (UK) has announced a series of Internet Protocol (IP) training days
ADI Global Distribution offers Vantage IP Training to prepare installers for shift from analogue
ADI Global Distribution (UK) has announced a series of Internet Protocol (IP) training days taking place throughout the UK in 2009. The comprehensive Vantage IP sessions are offered free of charge to installers. Following the success of the Vantage IP training days in 2008, this year will offer a wider choice of dates and locations to allow customers more flexibility to attend.

Recognising the need for traditional installers to gain a better understanding of IP security with the predicted shift from analogue, the training days will give customers the opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of IP technologies.

The events will consist of a morning training session, followed by an afternoon manufacturer showcase, allowing customers to understand different IP solutions - from standalone applications to fully integrated multi-site solutions. The training sessions will cover the fundamentals of IP video solutions with guidance on structured cabling, IP addressing basics, Network Video Recorder (NVR), IP cameras, storage devices, network video management, and much more. Also supporting the IP training events will be leading IP manufacturers including Mobotix, Milestone and JVC.

Dates and locations for 2009 are:

"Feedback from customers in 2008 has been very positive, with many informing us that the fundamentals covered in the morning session would give them the confidence to pitch for IP projects," said Ray Ashby, IP Business Product Manager at ADI Global Distribution. "It was obvious from customer dialogue that more and more projects are becoming IP focused, which is a real driving force for customers to expand their skills."
