Leading control room furniture manufacturer Winsted celebrating its 50th anniversary in business during 2013 has boosted its management team by promoting Jonathan Oseland into a new role supporting UK General Manager Terry Shough.
Jonathan becomes Assistant Manager and will be working closely with Terry on Winsted’s fast expanding operations across Europe and the Middle East. Jonathan’s background includes a modern apprenticeship in manufacturing engineering and he joined Winsted in 2007, learning the company ropes as a CAD designer. His new role will include large project management in addition to office management at Winsted’s UK base.
Commenting on the move, Terry Shough points to significant growth in Winsted’s order book: “The steadily rising popularity of our control room furniture means that we needed to expand our operational management capabilities to ensure Winsted’s high standard of customer service is maintained. Jonathan has proved his credentials over the past six years and can now step up into this new post to help fulfil these requirements.”
“Winsted’s overseas sales have soared by over 80% within the past five years, an achievement that was recognised when we won a prestigious 2012 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. But we’re not resting on our laurels and Jonathan Oseland’s promotion reflects our ambitions and commitment to customer care as we celebrate our 50th anniversary this year.”
Winsted’s trademark ergonomic and ‘future-proof’ modular furniture offers construction advantages which enable their configuration to be tailored specifically to meet precise operating requirements. The company’s flexible and engineered products include monitor walls, workstations and digital desks. Winsted’s comprehensive range of products and related accessories can be supplied from stock or customised and its R&D programme benefits from continual input based on customer feedback.
