Leading control room furniture manufacturer Winsted Europe & Middle East has unveiled its brand new EnVision Command Console, designed and constructed specifically for control room technology. EnVision’s introduction is Winsted’s first product news for 2013, a year in which the company celebrates its 50th anniversary.

EnVision’s radical new modular design blends form and function in an ergonomically optimised single, double or triple tier configuration. Whatever the format, operator sight lines and viewing angles are maximised, while staff remain comfortable and productive. Each EnVision tier supports a 7½” high slat-track section that allows for flexible equipment mounting, along with convenient accessories to help keep operators organised and reduce clutter.

Multiple mounting options on each tier mean the slat-track can be positioned exactly where required. EnVision also features a convenient extra-deep rear cable management tray that simply hooks on to the slat-track, allowing fast, easy access for maintenance and future upgrades. Meanwhile, VESA-compliant pivot/tilt mounts enable monitors to be easily attached and provide smooth pivot and pitch adjustment for optimal viewing angles and ergonomic sight lines for control room staff.

Terry Shough, Winsted EMEA’s General Manager, notes that EnVision’s other operational benefits include an adjustable CPU holder for convenient computer hardware storage, removable rear access panels that provide quick and easy access to cables for simple installation and reduced maintenance time, and durable work surface options including Corian and Marmoleum.

EnVision is produced in 42”, 60” and 84” widths as standard, with the ability to combine multiple widths and corner angles to create a console solution optimised for any required control room configuration.
