Andel's Hotel Lodz adopt VIVOTEK IP surveillance solutions to maintain hotel security and protect hotel properties
Mission

Andel's Hotel Lodz is a 4-star deluxe design hotel in Lodz, Poland's second largest city. Conveniently located in the city center and on the grounds of the Manufaktura art and culture center, the hotel offers a perfect environment for vacation or business conference. In order to maintain hotel security and protect hotel properties, the manager planned to install a surveillance system to help him constantly monitor hotel activities. Recognising the superiority of digital over analogue in terms of flexibility and reliability, the manager decided to go for an IP surveillance system. Besides, since the hotel is located in a historical building, the cameras must match its old brick façade. Hence, another concern for the manager when choosing the right kind of cameras is their form factors. SUMA, Polish distributor of VIVOTEK, and its system integration partner LUMEN Polska, suggested and helped the manager deploy VIVOTEK's products throughout the hotel.

Solution

Areas of interest include corridors, lobbies, and the surroundings of the building. This time, VIVOTEK FD7132s and IP7142s were called to duty. The FD7132s were installed inside the building along with a recessed kit so as to blend with the building's architecture. With its 3-axis mechanical design, images can remain upright whether the cameras are placed on the ceiling or against the wall. Additionally, the PIR sensors can detect moving objects, effectively preventing unauthorised access. Due to the strict guidelines of historic building preservation, requirements for cameras mounted on the outside walls of the hotel is very demanding. The IP7142s' elegant design and charcoal gray paint enable them to match the hotel's facade. In addition, the WDR sensor and weather-proof IP66-rated housing make the cameras a perfect fit for outdoor surveillance.

Both of the two models feature a vari-focal lens, providing great flexibility for viewing objects at different distance. The built-in IR illuminators and the removable IR-cut filter can prevent obscure images stemming from poor lighting at night, guaranteeing crisp image quality round the clock. More importantly, both models are PoE enabled, drastically reducing cabling problems in such a demanding environment.

Achievements

The use of VIVOTEK's IP surveillance system pushes the hotel security to a higher level. The manager can monitor activities inside and around the hotel to detect threats and danger in advance. "In such a luxury hotel, everything offered must be of the best quality, whether it is our services or the hotel security. With VIVOTEK's solutions, we are able to provide the most secure and trustworthy environment for our customers." said the hotel manager.
