A lumberyard in Nyirgelsei, Hungary
Yhe lumberyard replaces old IP surveillance system using VIVOTEK's network cameras
Mission

A lumberyard in Nyirgelsei, Hungary, once relied on security guards for factory security, but the large share of spending on staffing had driven the manager to seek more efficient security solutions at a lower cost. Besides, the manager was hoping to expand monitoring sites inside and outside the factory to make sure all processes in compliance with regulations. Thus, VIVOTEK's Hungarian distributor Kelly-Tech Kft helped the lumberyard replace the old-fashioned security approach with an IP surveillance system using VIVOTEK's network cameras.

Solution

VIVOTEK's IP7135, PZ6122 and SD7151 network cameras were called upon for this project. The PZ6122s with wireless connection were installed inside the factory because the manager wanted to avoid problems of running and maintaining IP network cables in the working area. With pan/tilt and 10x zoom functions that provide wide field of view with substantial details, the PZ6122s can significantly improve surveillance performance and efficiency. Inside the offices, the easy-to-use IP7135s were installed. Both of the PZ6122s and IP7135 boast outstanding low light performance, making them perfect for indoor environments.

For outdoor surveillance including the yard and the entrance corridor, the SD7151 speed dome cameras were installed which come with a vandal- and weather-proof housing for protection against rain and dust. Because the SD7151s feature 360°continuous rotation as well as 18x zoom capability, the manager can monitor any spot of interest with crisp details. Since the low light level at night will affect camera image quality, the SD7151s' built-in IR-cut filter can guarantee constantly clear images day and night.

Achievements

VIVOTEK's IP surveillance system offers an efficient and centralised security solution through which the manager can monitor the lumberyard remotely anytime and anywhere. "The network cameras enable us to maintain lumberyard security at a lower cost compared to using a CCTV system because we only need to connect them to our IP networks and PC systems. The best part is we have full control over the lumberyard wherever we are," said Joannes Rosa, the manager of the lumberyard.
