VIVOTEK recently announced the launch of a new security camera in a unique mini-box form factor, the IP8152. Along with its innovative, highly compact design, the camera’s small size enables it to fit easily into a variety of enclosures with different lens options, while IP8152 offers Supreme Night Visibility technology, which ensures excellent video quality even under low light conditions.

The IP8152’s 1.3-Megapixel CMOS sensor enables it to capture 1280 x 1024 resolution video at 30 fps, while the built-in removable IR-cut filter allows the use of IR illuminators for enhancing image quality at night or when ambient light levels are otherwise low. In addition, the IP8152 supports the industry-standard H.264 compression standard, significantly reducing file sizes, network bandwidth consumption, and storage requirements without compromising video quality.

In addition to providing exceptional image quality, the IP8152 is also designed to make setting up an IP-based surveillance system easy, as well as flexible enough to accommodate a broad range of indoor security applications in environments such as retail stores, industrial facilities, and hotels. It is bundled with multi-language 32-channel recording software, built-in IEEE 802.3af-compliant PoE functionality, and a MicroSD/SDHC card slot for on-board storage.

William Ku, Vice President of VIVOTEK’s International Business Division, stated: "At VIVOTEK, we are drawing on our industry-leading R&D capabilities and understanding of the market as we develop IP surveillance solutions with outstanding video quality. With this new camera’s compact design and many convenient features as Supreme Night Visibility, flexible lens options and MicroSD/SDHC card, the IP8152 is really a fantastic choice for diversified security applications."
