VIVOTEK recently announced the completion of its iViewer app update for the iOS platform. Aimed at bringing a more intuitive and friendly user experience to its valued customers worldwide, VIVOTEK has redesigned the user interface and adjusted several features of the iViewer app, enhancing the viewing quality and enabling smoother video accessibility.

iViewer, designed for live streaming video from hundreds of cameras managed by VIVOTEK’s professional central management software VAST, video management software ST7501 and NVR (Network Video Recorder) series, enables users to access surveillance camera video right on their iOS mobile device anytime, anywhere for highly flexible security administration. The new version of iViewer supports convenient features such as a favorites list, multi-channel live view and single channel playback, PTZ Control, vertical (portrait) or horizontal (landscape) mode rotation, PiP (Picture in Picture) control, snapshot and fisheye view dewarping.

Since the launch of the iViewer app, VIVOTEK has sought to continually improve the app’s rich feature set and performance to realise the multifaceted benefits of the remote and real-time monitoring. In addition to the user interface, VIVOTEK has optimised the software, multi-layout decoding performance and upgraded the viewing resolution to support Retina display.

Steve Ma, Executive VP at VIVOTEK, stated, “In order to maximise the benefits and convenience to our valued customers, VIVOTEK is dedicated to continual development and optimisation of our mobile applications. We are pleased to announce the relaunch of our iViewer app for iOS user interface with several exciting new features enabling surveillance on the move to be more reliable and enjoyable.”

VIVOTEK’s new iViewer app is now available for download on the App Store. The same function update for the Android platform will be available in Q4 this year.
