Videx Security door entry system
Videx Security received an order of 100+ access control door entry systems from Kier Sheffield LLP
Having provided Kier Sheffield LLP with door entry solutions for over seven years, Videx Security has now received an order for a further 100+ DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) compliant systems. This order represents the largest single order ever placed by Kier Sheffield LLP for door entry systems and reflects their confidence in Videx Security, who specialise in solutions for the local authority housing market.

Kier Sheffield LLP is a limited liability partnership between Kier Group plc, a leading UK building and civil engineering contractor, and Sheffield City Council. Kier Sheffield is responsible for the repairs and maintenance work to 50,000 council homes in Sheffield. The company is also one of the five contractors awarded the contract to deliver the Decent Homes refurbishment programme by Sheffield Homes.

Videx Security is supplying door entry systems for both low-rise and high-rise multi-occupancy homes. This latest order includes high specification door entry systems that are DDA compliant with features such as voice annunciation, large character displays to assist both the sight and hearing impaired.

Since the partnership with Sheffield City Council commenced in 2003, many hundreds of properties now benefit from door entry systems jointly specified then designed and supplied by Videx.

Kier Sheffield Maintenance Manager, Shaun Donnellon said: "Videx Security have been selected on their ability to deliver and provide a quality product and subsequent support to their equipment. This includes product training on Kier premises for the installation teams as part of the ongoing supply of the systems. The product has proved to be robust as the subsequent maintenance of the systems is also delivered and maintained by Kier Sheffield."
