Videx Security’s Portal Plus networkable access control system is one of the most attractive and versatile systems of its kind currently available. It is designed for use in buildings with multiple entrances and is expandable to provide control over an unlimited number of doors with the ability to support up to 15000 users.

Many establishments are recognising the advantages of the Portal Plus networkable access control system as offering many advantages over securing entrances by lock and key. These can be lost, copied or stolen and may have to be changed many times during the lifetime of an installation. On the other hand, Portal Plus provides permanent control over who can enter a building, when they can go in and which areas they may have access to. This flexibility is controlled by a central PC for all internal doors and external entrances.

For ease of use, Portal Plus features friendly Windows based software. This makes the addition, editing or deletion of users simple. New PROS CS Client software for Portal Plus now allows multiple clients to connect to a system either locally or remotely using the internet. An optional web server is available and allows managers to view and generate reports from a standard web browser. It allows each user to view his own report, whilst system operators can view the reports of all users.

Videx offers Portal Plus users with a wide choice of readers including IP65 rated finger print readers, desk mounted USB proximity fob/card enrolment readers, compact IP65 rated back lit keypads and Mifare smart card readers. Also available are proximity, bio-access, coded access, non-contact fob/card access and coded access readers as well as an illuminated touch to exit switch.
