ALBERT, the new Video Content Analysis agent from VideotecVIDEOTEC has announced its entrance into the market for IP-based video surveillance products by launching ALBERT, the Video Agent with advanced algorithms for the Video Content Analysis (H264) and extraordinary capabilities like Intelligent Cooperation and Assisted Navigation.  ALBERT and other Videotec products will be exhibited at IFSEC 2008.

Like a member of a team, each ALBERT unit broadcasts information about its activities, knows what the others are doing and sets its PTZ parameters accordingly to perform cooperative tasks, with a minimum of setup effort and no need for a central server.

ALBERT features an advanced, outdoor-oriented, self-learning Event Detector, developed for dynamic/outdoor scenarios, and simple to configure.  The system will automatically adapt its parameters to moving trees, rain, sea waves, light changes, shadows.  ALBERT is able to detect objects moving across virtual barriers, prohibited directions, forbidden areas, abandoned objects, objects removal, etc.  The system can perform an autonomous harmonized areas patrol and provides the best video sequence of views for a given area.  An optional on board hard disk for a distributed recording system is also available.

ALBERT's features provide high automation and intelligent information selection and delivers absolute performance for a tailor-made security system.
