Eduard J. Emde reached the 8th position in total 11 members of ASIS

ASIS International, the world’s leading association for security professionals, has announced that Eduard J. Emde, CPP, chairman of the board of ASIS International has been identified as one of the ten most influential persons in the security and fire industry.

The list, compiled by IFSEC, comprises the 40 most influential persons who were nominated by their peers in December 2012. Emde reached the 8th position. In total, 11 members of ASIS are included in the list.

Speaking on the announcement Emde said: “It is a great surprise to be featured in this list of influential persons in security and related fields. I feel this is also a tribute to ASIS and reflects the effective education and networking for security practitioners. I would like to thank the judges, nominators and all involved in this process.”

Many of the named individuals and companies will be speaking or attending at ASIS Europe 2013, including Emde, Professor Martin Gill, Dr. Peter Speight and Jason Brown. The ASIS 12th European Security Conference & Exhibition will take place on 14-16 April 2013 in Gothenburg, Sweden. It will cover a wide range of security issues in 33 high-level educational sessions divided over three parallel tracks.

The conference will also feature:

  • Dedicated sessions for Chief Security Officers (CSOs) and their deputies organised
  • by the CSO Roundtable of ASIS International
