Sonitrol Oneprox™ GS3 Reader Range supports most popular card formats

Sonitrol, a leading provider of verified electronic security solutions, introduces its new Sonitrol Oneprox™ GS3 Reader Range at the ASIS International 59th Annual Seminar and Exhibits (ASIS 2013), September 24-27 in Chicago, IL.

The Sonitrol Oneprox™ GS3 Reader Range supports most popular card formats, allowing easy migration for existing users onto new, or add-on access controlled doors. The readers provide a technology alternative to existing reader manufacturers, and are designed to enhance the security, convenience and aesthetics of any installation, as well as the following benefits:

Multiple credentials compatible with industry-leading technologies

Available in both Low Frequency (LF) and Multi-Technology (MT) models that can be integrated with many popular Wiegand formatted credentials

OneProx™ Smart (Ops) card technology secures the credentials of customers by way of a 128-bit AES encryption

The full range of readers requires low power consumption and a bright light pipe for high visibility

Complies with ADA requirements to make secure areas equally accessible to disabled users

Includes lifetime guarantee against electronic failure

Offering quality, advanced technology in a stylish, unobtrusive design, the Sonitrol Oneprox™ GS3 Reader Range includes six reader variants, including:

Mullion Reader: Typically mounted on door frames (mullion) or areas requiring a small footprint.

Standard Reader: Designed to be surface mounted or attached to a standard electrical back box; ideal for new construction or retrofitted buildings.

PROX/PIN Reader: Designed with the same footprint as the Standard, the PROX/PIN offers additional security with PIN only, PROX only or PROX/PIN options.

Vandal Resistant Reader: A robust metal case made from stainless steel offers outstanding reliability in vandalism-prone areas. Built to meet tough environmental demands of public facilities applications, this reader can withstand inclement weather conditions, accidental damage or physical attack common in installations such as elevators, schools, campuses, car park reader posts or any other unsupervised public areas.

Panel Reader: Designed to be flush mounted into a door panel with four industry standard mounting holes (1.9”) square apart. It can be used to replace existing panel readers and fitted into posts to control car barriers.

Admin Kit: Designed to ease the task of adding credentials into the host administration PC. The Admin reader sits comfortably on a desk and connects to the PC via USB.

“The introduction of the Sonitrol Oneprox™ GS3 Reader Range exemplifies Sonitrol’s reputation for providing solutions needed for scalable and comprehensive security applications,” said Bruce Winner, Director of the Sonitrol Brand.  “It is this innovation, dedication to customer service, experience, expertise and integrity that makes Sonitrol the cornerstone of the security industry.”
