The new System Galaxy Software enables transfer of data with other systems such as time and attendance, visitor management and time clocks
Galaxy’s new software enables users to maintain their existing investment in access hardware from Galaxy

Galaxy Control Systems, a leading provider of integrated access control, video and security solutions, is launching their new System Galaxy Software (v.10.3) at this year’s ASIS show (booth # 1591). The new software, which features a wide range of enhanced capabilities, enables users to maintain their existing investment in access hardware from Galaxy without having to rip and replace entire infrastructure.

“All of our software products are backwards-compatible and interface with legacy infrastructure, which enables systems upgrades and expansion with extreme cost efficiency,” said Robert Laughlin, President, Galaxy Control Systems. “The latest version of System Galaxy Software includes many innovations that improve overall functionality while providing a pragmatic pathway for future system expansion using new or existing infrastructure.”

The new System Galaxy Software includes support for a 485 multidrop to facilitate the interface with all previously installed Galaxy hardware and infrastructure. Additional enhancements include active directory support to enable real-time identity management, individualised identity-based door access, and the ability to generate specific reports for each screen view or credential holder. Data can be shared with other systems such as time and attendance, visitor management, time clocks, parking garages and personal messaging. Market-specific features include one-minute door open schedules for education applications along with 100 additional day types. The system accommodates unlimited users and is also accessible from mobile web browsers.

Like all Galaxy Control Systems products, the new System Galaxy Software comes with an unconditional two-year warranty.
