STANLEY Security’s Electric Privacy Glass Option provides instant patient privacy in ICU/CCU healthcare environments

STANLEY Security, a leading provider of access control and integrated security solutions, announced its new Electric Privacy Glass Option to the Dura-Care™ ICU/CCU product line at the ASIS International 59th Annual Seminar and Exhibits (ASIS 2013), September 24-27 in Chicago, IL.

Utilising the ultimate in cutting-edge technology, STANLEY Security’s Electric Privacy Glass Option provides instant patient privacy in ICU/CCU healthcare environments. The new offering features an innovative design that seamlessly integrates into the Dura-Care product line with the Dura-Glide® header to conceal electrical and mechanical components.

Currently, the option is configured for the following Dura-Care door systems: two- and three-panel (non bi-parting) Series 7000 and 7000TL, 7200TL-FBO, 7500, 7500TL and TL-FBO. Although most commonly utilised in healthcare applications, STANLEY Security’s Electric Privacy Glass Option can also be used in a variety of markets, including in education, retail, financial and government facilities, as well as for boardrooms, and administrative and executive offices.

“Incorporating the Electric Privacy Glass Option into our Dura-Care product line-up positions STANLEY to continue to be a single source provider of automated and ICU/CCU doors throughout healthcare facilities,” said Arthur Baker, Vice President, Sales & Government Business Development for STANLEY Security. “With the new Dura-Care Electric Privacy Glass Option, patients, their families and physicians are provided with a clean, immediate solution for privacy in the care of the ICU/CCU.”

The offering also includes the following features:

  • Instant, convenient patient privacy
  • Eliminates need for additional privacy offerings
  • Single, hygienic solution for sensitive healthcare facility requirements
  • The non-powered state defaults to private; when power is applied, the glass panels become clear
