IQinVision will be demonstrating new 4K Sentinel technology at ASIS International in Atlanta
IQinVision’s next generation IQeye Sentinel delivers up to 12MP resolution and is ideal for outdoor applications

IQinVision, market leader in high-performance HD megapixel IP cameras, recently announced availability for its new generation 12MP/4K IQeye Sentinel camera.

IQinVision’s next generation IQeye Sentinel delivers up to 12MP resolution and is ideal for outdoor applications. It offers vibrant, crisp images using cutting-edge imaging sensor and encoder technology capable of producing 4K Ultra HD video at 30 frames per second.

The new Sentinel offers approximately 6 times the pixels available in a standard HD1080p camera, enabling greatly increased pixel density for the same scene. Users can install fewer of these cameras to capture a wider field of view, while maintaining the original pixel density. The next generation 12MP Sentinel pushes beyond the boundaries of on-camera processing capabilities. Its dual-core CPU has enough processing power to not only deliver multi-streaming forensic quality video with enhanced image processing and noise correction, but also run analytics directly on the camera before pushing video over the network. The camera’s USB storage feature and available on-camera recording applications can enable an ultra-high resolution recording system. In such an installation, high resolution and high frame rate video can be recorded on-camera for forensic investigations. At the same time, remote servers can retrieve lower resolution video for bandwidth and storage savings.

standard HD1080p camera

Standout features and benefits from the new IQeye 4K Sentinel include:

  • Superior Resolution: captures wider scenes and achieves forensic detail at a greater distance
  • Power at the Edge: offers a dual-core processor to run computationally - intensive applications (edge recording, analytics, etc.) on the edge
  • Manage bandwidth cost: using the camera’s 4K multi-stream ability, a 1080p or lower resolution stream can be stored to the NVR while the 4K stream can be stored on-camera — reducing bandwidth demands of ultra-high definition video
  • Affordability: one 4K Sentinel replaces several lower resolution megapixel cameras - integrators can afford to include these powerful cameras in their current installs

IQinVision will be demonstrating the new 4K Sentinel technology at ASIS International in Atlanta, September 29th ~ October 1st, at the company’s booth #237.
