Vicon is able to offer fully engineered solutions at the ACPO-APA International Policing Exhibition to meet the demanding requirements of the police
Visitors to Vicon's stand F42 at the 2009 ACPO-APA International Policing Exhibition will have the opportunity to see some of the very latest advantages in CCTV technology.

Vicon, one of the world's leading independent manufacturers of CCTV equipment and high quality video systems, is able to offer fully engineered solutions to meet the demanding requirements of the police.

In addition to robust digital video recording solutions for custody and interview suites, Vicon manufacture a high resolution camera to enable police to observe the health and safety of detainees. The Vicon Cell camera incorporates the requirements for CCTV in detention rooms including privacy masking and a vandal resistant dome housing.

Vicon will also be demonstrating the full power of ViconNet 5, the latest version of Vicon's highly acclaimed video management software platform, which enables users to take full advantage of Video over IP. ViconNet 5, which encompasses the latest compression techniques and has built-in intelligent video analytics, provides complete video system management from any PC on the network. It offers almost limitless user configurations, viewing options and graphical mapping.

"It is an incredibly easy to use and genuinely open software platform system which supports a wide range of third party IP as well as Vicon's full range of DVRs, megapixel cameras, IP video and hybrid systems," said Richard Allen-Miles, Vicon's Sales Director for the UK and Ireland. "It also facilitates easy integration into third party systems such as access control."

The exhibition takes place at the Manchester Central Convention complex on 8-9th July. It coincides with The ACPO-APA Summer Conference, an annual forum which brings together senior ranking police officers of all the forces, police authorities and national police agencies in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, to discuss policing policies, strategies and methods.
