Verint Systems Inc., a leading provider of analytic software-based solutions for workforce-enterprise optimisation and security, recently announced a new partnership with EMC Corporation, the leading developer and provider of information infrastructure solutions, to deliver integrated, enterprise-class networked video management and storage solutions to the security market.

As part of the agreement, Verint will resell EMC's industry-leading networked storage systems and enterprise content management software as part of a tightly integrated and tested, enterprise-class Video Management Solution for the physical security market.  Verint and EMC have also entered into a technology agreement to ensure efficient testing and certification of new, innovative products and technologies from both companies.  Joint marketing and selling has already yielded a number of new customers for both companies, including Total Terminal International (TTI) at the Port of Long Beach, The Kentucky Exposition Center, Banco Azteca in Mexico City and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea in London.  Additionally, EMC plans to implement Verint's NextivaTM video management solution within its corporate campus located in Massachusetts.

"The convergence of security and information technology has created an immediate need for new technology partnerships that deliver highly effective and tightly integrated security and enterprise solutions," said Jim Clark, General Manager of Verint Video Intelligence Solutions.  "The new partnership with EMC combines our Nextiva video management platform with world-class information storage and digital information management software to accelerate the deployment of robust, scalable and IT-friendly video security solutions."

EMC solutions help organizations around the world keep their most essential digital information protected, secure, and continuously available.  The companies have jointly invested resources to integrate Verint's NextivaTM Enterprise video management platform with EMC's Storage and Information Infrastructure Solutions.  In addition to technology collaboration, EMC and Verint have established joint go-to-market strategies that leverage their combined brand strengths, technology leadership and robust channel partnerships.

"We are excited to partner with an industry leader such as Verint and to expand our presence in the growing physical security market," said Bob Clouse, Senior Director, Global Emerging Market Solutions, EMC Corporation.  "This partnership will create a variety of new business opportunities for both Verint and EMC and the market demand for our combined solution is evidenced by the strong success that we have experienced to date."

The Nextiva portfolio of networked video solutions includes video management software, integrated analytics, encoders and IP cameras, intelligent DVRs and robust SDKs and integrations for use in a variety of vertical market environments.  Nextiva enables organisations of all sizes, from small and mid-sized enterprises to major government and commercial organisations, to enhance the security of their facilities and infrastructure and the performance of their business operations by networking video across multiple locations and applying advanced content analytics to extract actionable intelligence from live and stored video.  By alerting security personnel to potential security threats, Nextiva helps organisations prevent security breaches, improve response time and enhance operational efficiency.
