Verint Systems Inc., a leading provider of analytic software-based solutions for business and security, recently announced that a major utility provider in the UK has deployed its NextivaTM Critical Infrastructure (CI) solution and integrated video analytics suite to enhance the security of its premises and perimeter.

Verint's Nextiva CI and integrated perimeter intrusion detection analytics will help protect the company's premises, enabling security personnel to react rapidly to perimeter breaches, unauthorised personnel or vehicles or suspicious activity across the expansive facility.  Nextiva CI solution and its sophisticated video analytics will enable the utility company to monitor perimeters, gated entrances and access points to its facility in real time, allowing it to more effectively leverage on-site security personnel.  By deploying analytics at the network edge, the utility can capture and analyse high quality images at the source, reducing time-consuming false alarms and enabling security managers to make more effective use of personnel.  The solution was delivered through Verint partner, Guide Security Services Ltd.

"Securing mission-critical operations and creating a safe work environment for personnel is a top priority for today's utility providers," said Dan Bodner, President and CEO of Verint Systems Inc.  "Verint's Nextiva CI solution, with its integrated analytics, is well suited to help utility providers enhance the security of their core infrastructure and protect sensitive, geographically dispersed facilities."

Nextiva Critical Infrastructure is part of the Nextiva portfolio of networked video solutions.

Nextiva enables organisations of all sizes, from small and mid-sized enterprises to major government and commercial organisations, to enhance the security of their facilities and infrastructure and the performance of their business operations by networking video across multiple locations and applying advanced content analytics to extract actionable intelligence from live and stored video.  By alerting security personnel to potential security threats, Nextiva helps organizations prevent security breaches, improve response time and enhance operational efficiency.
