Verint Systems Inc., a leading provider of analytic software-based solutions for security and business intelligence, will be exhibiting its Nextiva Video Portfolio at IFSEC, held at the NEC in Birmingham, UK on 21st May 2007.

The Nextiva Portfolio includes robust enterprise class video management software, vertical market applications, integrated analytics, intelligent DVRs and the industry's broadest array of wireless and wireless intelligent edge devices and IP cameras.  At IFSEC, Verint will be exhibiting its Nextiva video management and analytics platform, and previewing its Nextiva NetDVR-II embedded DVR, Nextiva Transit Fleet Management software, and new generation Mobile IP dome camera.

Nextiva NetDVR-II is a scaleable technology for remote management of business critical CCTV systems where only limited network bandwidth is available between sites.  With a variety of local storage and cameras connection options, NetDVR-II makes use of the latest MPEG-4/SM4 compression technology and offers a rich library of integrations to Retail EPOS, ATM and banking systems.

Nextiva mDVR is the third generation of Verint mobile video recorder, designed specifically for the transport community to simultaneously view, store and capture high resolution voice, video and data in an enterprise environment and allow a low maintenance cost and easy configuration.  It is complemented by the new Nextiva Transit Fleet Management software that enables operators to retrieve and manage on-board CCTV for entire fleets of buses, trams and trains, and dial into individual units to monitor what is happening via live video transmission in MPEG-4 compression.

The new Nextiva Ethernet IPC-M dome camera series is also designed for use in mobile environments, providing high resolution imagery, day and night, even in difficult lighting conditions, with the technology safely contained within vandal-resistant housing.  The housing is also designed with rounded edges such that it is not a risk to passengers.

Verint Nextiva is a robust platform and suite of software applications built on a standards-based, open architecture, engineered for scalability, rapid deployment, and ease of use in IP network environments.  Nextiva captures video, audio and data from a wide variety of devices transmitted over wireline and wireless networks.

Recent developments within the broader Nextiva range include:

  • Nextiva Video Analytics, powerful video analysis software packages integrated within the Nextiva Video Software management to trigger alarms in real time and prevent incidents, loss and damages.
  • Nextiva Analytics embedded edge devices, video servers and IP cameras, which enable video analytics to be applied at the point of capture instead of sending all the data to centralised servers.
  • Nextiva Analytics help organisations make sense of vast amounts of security video and data, generating actionable intelligence for better decisions and more effective action.

This powerful suite of analytic applications automatically pinpoints potential breaches and significant events and sends video alerts to the appropriate people and agencies.  Nextiva Analytics enhance situational awareness and transform threat detection from a manual, resource-intensive operation to an efficient, accurate, and automated process.  With Nextiva Analytics, security staff can focus on deterring and managing threats, rather than watching banks of video monitors trying to detect them.

Full integration with the Nextiva Enterprise video management platform virtually eliminates the operational issues associated with standalone analytic products.  And Nextiva analytics embedded edge devices analyse video at the point of capture, delivering timely intelligence with lower data transport and storage requirements, making analytics practical and cost effective for virtually every camera on the network.
