TeleEye has done it again, scooping up the prestigious Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association (HKEIA) gold award in the security category. The award, for outstanding innovation and technology, was given for the company's new RX 504 mobile video recording server. Last year, TeleEye also received the award for its outstanding, BS 8418 compliant, RX 360 range of video transmitters.
The HKEIA award recognizes and rewards excellence in product design, technology, reliability and innovation and is fully endorsed by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Productivity Council and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Corporation.
Chief Marketing Officer, Dr Wallace Ma, collected the award on behalf of TeleEye at the recent Hong Kong Electronics Fair, the world's second largest electronics show.
The award-winning RX504 mobile video recording server is designed specifically for mobile surveillance and alarm monitoring use, enabling the transmission of on-site CCTV video and data via GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA mobile networks. The RX 504 server is of particular value in mobile vehicle fleets, such as the emergency services, public transport and secure delivery vehicles. It uses TeleEye's unique SMAC-M multi-stream video coding technology, which records for 60% longer and transmits 50% faster than the MPEG-4 equivalent. Its robust design also ensures high reliability in the demanding transport environment where power surges and vibration shock are normal.
Duncan Ross, TeleEye's UK General Sales Manager, explained, "Our company uses the latest technology to produce practical and beneficial solutions to real life security applications. We have addressed the increased need to monitor mobile fleets and protect or track field-based staff in vehicles. We are very pleased to have been rewarded for our innovation".
