TDSi manufactures its access control hardware and software in the UK as a centre of security solutions excellence
TDSi offers a wide range of integrated security and access control system

Integrated security solutions manufacturer TDSi is firmly backing British manufacturing by producing its key products in the UK. The company develops, designs and manufactures its access control hardware and software in the UK, reflecting its commitment to, and firm belief in the UK as a centre of security solutions excellence.

TDSi’s Managing Director, John Davies, commented, “As a company we draw upon the considerable innovation and technical know-how that is available in the UK. At the heart of our access control solutions are our access controller units, which offer any organisation a high degree of intelligent security management and have always been developed, designed and built as a fully integrated process in the UK. Our development and support teams are also based in the TDSi Head Office in Poole, Dorset, so we are readily available to discuss any technical challenges or needs and to offer direct assistance to customers and partners.”

TDSi offers a wide range of integrated security and access control systems to suit all needs. From its SOLOgarde controller (which is designed to offer convenient and easy-to-use intelligent security for a single door), right up to the EXpert series (which is a fully featured and networkable control unit with supervised inputs and relays that caters for up to 48,000 access cards and is especially well-suited to education, healthcare and large commercial applications), TDSi’s controllers are developed by the team in Poole. TDSi’s development team also engineers software solutions that integrate and complement the controllers. TDSi develops and markets two flagship software suites: EXgarde and VUgarde.  EXgarde is a feature-rich Access Management tool that can also be used as part of an overall building’s services portal, integrating with other security systems such as CCTV, fire control and environmental controls. It is available in three versions: Express, PRO and Enterprise to suit any application. VUgarde is a comprehensive Video Management Server platform that can act either in isolation or be fully integrated to with EXgarde thereby providing a seamless integrated CCTV and Access Control security solutions system.

"At the heart of our access control solutions are our access controller units, which offer any organisation a high degree of intelligent security management..."

With its roots and production in the UK, along with a healthy share of the British security solutions market, TDSi is also generating impressive growth internationally. Key geographical areas of expansion include West Africa, the Middle East and China, largely driven by TDSi’s local partner network of security solution experts - with export sales now accounting for over 35% of the company’s turnover. Davies continued, “The excellence of British security products is well recognised around the world and is undoubtedly a key element in the appeal of TDSi’s products. There are other benefits too, centring all of our development and production in the UK significantly simplifies our supply chain - which is good news for TDSi, its partners and clients, both in terms of cost savings and also in the carbon footprint that is generated by the process. It also allows us to further focus our resources and energy on developing the next generation of security solutions and services, as well as supporting our essential partners around the world as they continue to build these exciting markets.”
