SecureUSA understands the perimeter security market
SecureUSA announces realignment to meet the growth of its barrier and bollard solutions in the perimeter defense industry

SecureUSA®’s product line of environmentally friendly, LEED qualified, all electric barrier and bollard solutions has experienced growing acceptance within the perimeter defense industry. To meet this growth and market acceptance as well as to maintain SecureUSA®’s position in the industry as a leader in technological development and customer service, Carla Clark, CEO of SecureUSA, has announced a realignment of responsibilities for the SecureUSA® management team, effective immediately.

Michael Shartouny has been moved to the position of Vice President, Consulting Design Services. Michael has been with SecureUSA® for six years and during the last two years has played a significant role in enhancing SecureUSA®’s entire range of products. In her news release of January 18, 2014, Carla Clark stated: “In his new role, and with the leadership of Tom Burdette as Chief Operating Officer, the company plans to compete more aggressively for major projects that involve full integration of perimeter security solutions.”

SecureUSA® has been successful in negotiating teaming agreements with leading defense contractors and has secured several large projects for water treatment facilities, petro-chemical plants, DOD and DHS projects, and federal classified projects. Ms. Clark further added: “We are truly blessed to have such a competent team in our company to help us develop specific vertical and regional market opportunities.”

SecureUSA® also announced that Mr. Tom Burdette is assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer. In relation to the management realignment and market opportunities, Mr. Burdette stated: “Prior to 9/11, little was known about inroad barrier systems and perimeter protection. However, today there are more companies employing security professionals with purchasing divisions and management teams educated about security issues, requirements, and perimeter protection costs and competition.”

In response to this, the Business Development and Project execution teams have already been instrumental in increasing SecureUSA®‘s abilities to compete, with Tom Burdette developing competitive advantage with innovative marketing initiatives. Mr. Burdette also said: “We are bringing in fresh new team members, changing focus, and developing roles and goals to attack the market of 2014 in the most efficient, proactive, and professional manner. We will maintain customer focus and continue to review all of our manufacturing processes to ensure quality in our product design and services, and conduct our internal operations in an efficient and cost effective manner.”

In assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer, Tom Burdette also added that he: “Aims to address the industry changes by seeking synergistic partnerships and unique approaches to deliver intelligent perimeter defense solutions. This will provide added value to the customer through better design of perimeter standoff, more effective integration of perimeter security products, and an aggressive development of sustainability services with a commitment to continue the development of sustainable relationships.”

With almost two decades of experience in providing turnkey security solutions for North America’s at risk facilities, SecureUSA® understands the perimeter security market.  SecureUSA® has watched the market change and developed since long before the devastating terrorist attacks of 9/11 brought the matter of perimeter defense more prominently into public awareness.

SecureUSA® has completed design/build security projects for critical civic infrastructure, NYPD and FBI establishments, embassies, military sites, Fortune 500 Corporate facilities, iconic sites, nuclear facilities, and the entire financial district of the city of New York. Since 2005, SecureUSA®  has also developed its own extensive range of protection technologies including electric vehicle barriers, fixed, removable, and electric retractable bollards.

Going forward into 2014 and 2015, SecureUSA® will be engineering further new technologies designed to provide state of the art perimeter defense solutions thus “helping to create a safer future®.”
