CCTV cameras utilising SANYO's Pan-Focus technology are helping to create a safe and secure environment at the new Langdon Park StationCCTV cameras utilising SANYO's unique Pan-Focus technology are helping to create a safe and secure environment at the new Docklands Light Railway, Langdon Park Station.

30 SANYO cameras have been located at the station, the majority incorporating PAN-Focus technology, which ensures that the camera lens keeps all objects in focus no matter how close or far away they are from the camera.  The x2.6 lens depth of field is such that it does not require any manual focus adjustment to deliver clear images of the whole view.

Michael Evans, IT Manager and Communications Engineer at Serco, said:  "In conjunction with our contractors, we carried out extensive technical and operational comparisons between a number of CCTV manufacturers' cameras.  The depth of field of the SANYO cameras was certainly one of the features that impressed us but the ease at which the cameras could be remotely set up, was also a major attraction."

The SANYO cameras installed at Langdon Park Station are VDC-DP7585PDay/Night vandal resistant domes and VCC-XZ400P weatherproof Day/Night Zoom cameras, both of which have Pan-Focus technology.

"We have been extremely pleased with the performance of the CCTV system at Langdon Park Station" added Mr. Evans. "As a result we will be including SANYO cameras in our rolling programme of upgrading CCTV systems throughout the DLR network including Stratford International Station, which has such an important role in serving the 2012 Olympics."
