The 7000 Series provides a range of high-performance products with capabilities that push the boundaries of traditional video surveillance
Samsung Techwin will showcase indoor and outdoor vandal-resistant dome cameras

Samsung Techwin America, a global supplier of video surveillance and security products combining superior performance and value, is featuring its 7000 Series megapixel cameras at ISC West booth #14063. Meeting market demand for breakthrough imaging technology, the 7000 Series megapixel cameras feature Samsung’s advanced WiseNetII digital signal processing, full HD resolution, up to 3 megapixels of image quality, wide dynamic range (WDR) and on-board video analytics. Cameras in the line include indoor and outdoor vandal-resistant domes, and an outdoor dome with 15 infrared (IR) LED illuminators. Also available is an outdoor all-in-one bullet-style IR camera in an P66 housing.

“The 7000 Series combines Samsung’s leading edge imaging technology to provide a range of high-performance products with capabilities that push the boundaries of traditional video surveillance,” said Frank De Fina, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Samsung Techwin America. “Our new cameras provide top-of-the-line solutions that incorporate Samsung core technology innovations for networked or hybrid video surveillance systems.”

The new cameras offer 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution, H.264/MJPEG dual codec, 16:9 full HD (1080p) resolution support, smart compression (region-of-interest encoding) and true day/night (ICR) functionality. Additional features include bi-directional audio, SD Memory Card slot and built-in video analytics. The cameras support wide dynamic range (WDR) in 2-megapixel mode, and SSNRIII noise reduction helps to ensure crisp clear images even in low light environments. Hybrid installations are supported with BNC outputs and RS-485 inputs, and the cameras are PoE (Power over Ethernet) compatible. Focus and zoom are network adjustable.

The powerhouse 7000 Series 3-megapixel full HD network cameras on display at ISC West include the SNB-7000

Box Camera featuring a C/CS lens mount, the SND-7080 Indoor All-in-One Dome Camera and the SNV-7080 Outdoor Vandal-Resistant All-in-One Dome Camera. The new ONVIF-compliant high-performance dome cameras also include motorized 3 ~ 8.55mm (2.8x) vari-focal lenses that allow zoom and focus settings to be adjusted remotely after installation. Outdoor dome housings are vandal-resistant to protect against tampering or physical attack and IP66 environmentally rated for severe or varying weather conditions. Also included in the series is the SNV-7080R, a new vandal-resistant megapixel dome network camera that incorporates 15 built-in infrared (IR) LED illuminators with a range of 75 feet, even in total darkness.

SNO-7080R is an outdoor 3 megapixel IR network video surveillance camera that uses 32 infrared LEDs to provide a viewing range of more than 150 feet in total darkness. The SNO-7080R includes a 2.8X varifocal motorized zoom lens. The bullet-style camera is also IP66 environmentally rated.

The Samsung 7000 Series cameras are ONVIF compliant and include the following advanced technologies:

WiseNetII Digital Signal Processing allows display of multiple resolutions from CIF (320 x 240) through to 16:9 format, full HD (1080p) and up to 3 megapixel (2048 x 1536) resolution.

Wide Dynamic Range compensates for uneven lighting conditions by increasing the level of visible detail in the dark areas while maintaining image clarity and detail in the brighter portions of the image.

Samsung Super Noise Reduction III technology removes noise and greatly reduces motion blur in low light.

Smart Codec captures predefined Region of Interest (RoI) or human faces in greater detail than the remaining scene, producing lower data sizes for maximized bandwidth and storage efficiencies.
