The mini-seminar will provide insight on network theory and system infrastructure, switching architecture, and troubleshooting
Samsung's Director of IP Product and Business development, Dr. Edward Wassall, lead the mini-seminar

Samsung Techwin, a leading supplier of advanced video surveillance solutions, has launched an IP educational seminar entitled IP-DNA - The Art of Video Network Design. Led by Samsung's Dr. Edward Wassall, Director of IP Product and Business Development, the mini-seminar touches on network theory and system infrastructure, switching architecture, and troubleshooting, among other topics. Most recently, Dr. Wassall presented the seminar to security professionals in Houston on November 7 and Dallas on November 8.

"Network-based security solutions are a complex and frequently misunderstood topic," said Frank DeFina, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Samsung Techwin America. "By offering an in-depth and expert-led forum on the subject, Samsung is increasing its portfolio of advanced product and support solutions as well as helping to distinguish the company as a value-added partner."

The need for guidance and a greater understanding of network video surveillance technology and solutions are an industry-wide concern. Manufacturers such as Samsung Techwin play a vital role in helping to educate the security community, and Dr. Wassall's expertise in IP technology offers a perspective tailored to the current market needs.

"While IP video surveillance solutions have grown in popularity, many industry professionals are still unsure of the technology or how to leverage IP solutions," said Dr. Wassall. "The presentation offers the knowledge and tools that give security professionals solutions to complex issues and show a path to IP."

The Texas events, hosted by Dollacker and Associates, Samsung's manufacturer's representative for the region, drew capacity audiences who enjoyed a luncheon presentation and a complimentary copy of Dr. Wassall's book, "IP DNA: A comprehensive Guide to IP Video Network Design."
