Mr Johan Park has been appointed Managing Director of Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd, the company responsible for promoting and supporting Samsung professional and consumer security equipment and solutions across Europe, Russia and CIS.

Prior to his appointment, Mr Park, who has worked for the Samsung Group for 24 years, was Chief Financial Officer of the Group's Security Solutions Division with special responsibility for operational management issues, personnel and the implementation of work processes and systems.

Mr Park's understanding of the European market has been acquired whilst carrying out a number of senior roles for the Samsung Group, including six years as a Director of Samsung Electronics' Nordic division, during which he was based in Sweden.

"I am very pleased to have this opportunity to lead what is already a very successful team," said Mr Park, who will be based at the European HQ in Chertsey, UK. "In addition to our continuing success with analogue products, we are absolutely determined to be Europe's leading manufacturer of IP & Network security solutions."

Samsung has recently bolstered its IP and network product range with the introduction of Full 1080p HD megapixel network cameras, adding to its 720p HD megapixel, 4-CIF and VGA ranges. Coupled with the latest Net-i Ware recording software and the imminent release of Samsung's next generation hardware Network Video Recorders, the company can satisfy a broad range of IP based security solutions from single sites through to very large, fully integrated systems, which brings together multiple technologies such as surveillance and access control.

"I will also be introducing new pre and post sales initiatives to ensure our customers can enjoy the highest level of support which is so important to our ambitions to be the number one brand in the security market," said Mr Park. "Our European network of customers may rest assured that we will continue to provide them with innovative and reliable products that offer exceptional value and deliver real-life benefits to users."
