The camera can stream various resolutions simultaneously to allow the most relevant stream to be transmitted to a chosen viewing
Camera capabilities include backlight compensation, contrast enhancement, and digital noise reduction

Samsung Techwin America, a global supplier of video surveillance and security products combining superior performance and value, unveiled a new 1.3 megapixel pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) dome network camera line at ASIS, combining 720p HD images and a 20x optical zoom lens to provide exquisite detail.

Samsung's SNP-5200 is a fully ONVIF-compliant PTZ dome network camera offering multiple resolutions and aspect ratios from CIF (320 x 240 pixels) up to full 1.3 megapixel (1,280 x 1,024 pixels), including HD (high-definition) format at 720p (1,280 x 720 pixels). The day/night auto- iris lens has a focal length of 4.45-89mm for a 20x zoom ratio. Light sensitivity is 0.7 lux in colour and 0.08 lux in black and white. The camera can also stream various resolutions simultaneously to allow the most relevant stream to be transmitted to a chosen viewing or recording device. Samsung's SNP-5200H incorporates an IP66-compliant housing to withstand extreme environments from -58 degrees to 122 degrees F.

"Our new PTZ domes can catch all the details in applications that require high-resolution imaging," said Frank DeFina, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, North America, Samsung Techwin America. "They expand even further the broad Samsung IP camera line that incorporates Samsung core technologies for superior state-of-the-art performance and value."

Other features of Samsung's SNP-5200/5200H include H.264/MPEG-4/MJPEG multiple codecs, hybrid adaptability (analog video out and control), an SD memory slot and two-way audio. PoE Plus enables power to travel along the same cable as the Ethernet connection. Additional camera capabilities include backlight compensation, contrast enhancement, digital noise reduction (SSNRIII), digital image stabilisation, motion detection and privacy masking.
