Samsung has added to its SMT range of TFT LCD environmentally friendly monitors with the introduction of new High Definition 32" and 40" models.

As is the case with existing 17" and 19" models, the 32" SMT-3223 and 40" SMT-4023 are designed specifically for use in professional security systems. They are certain to attract the interest of installers looking to provide their clients with a competitively priced display solution but without any compromise on quality, and are designed to consume approximately 35% less energy than earlier generation monitors.

The SMT-4023 has a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 (1080p Full HD), whilst the SMT-3223 has a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 (720p HD), allowing users to benefit from the latest generation of HD megapixel cameras, such as Samsung's WiseNetI and WiseNetII DSP chipset models.

Both monitors, which have built-in speakers, offer a choice of BNC, DVI and 2 x HDMI inputs and have a fast response time of 8ms. A multi-language on-screen display ensures easy set up, whilst a range of brackets is available to provide flexible mounting options. Wall, ceiling and vertical mounts can be achieved via standard VESA mounting points on the rear of the monitors, whilst the optional SBM-320ST foot stand allows both models to sit on a desktop.

Available from Samsung distributors, the SMT-3223 and SMT-4023 are offered with full support services from Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd., including free system design, free technical support and a full three-year warranty.
