Samsung Electronics as well as Samsung Techwin security product lines now available across Europe

As of 1st January 2010 Samsung Techwin Europe has taken on responsibility for supplying and supporting existing Samsung Electronics security product lines as well as Samsung Techwin security product lines across Europe.

This follows the recent announcement regarding the transfer of assets, human resources and liabilities of the electronic security business of Samsung Electronics Co. to Samsung Techwin Co. in Korea.

Yong Jun (Jake) Kim, Managing Director, Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd, said: "This decision made by the Samsung Group to bring together these two security businesses is a giant step towards  realising our ambition to becoming  Europe's leading professional security manufacturer. It will focus the business capabilities of both companies and ultimately lead to the development of more competitive products and improved services being offered to customers."

This will have no effect on the ability of installers to order any of the products in the current Samsung Electronics and Samsung Techwin ranges and existing distribution agreements for both product lines will remain in place throughout 2010.

Mr Kim continues, "Samsung Electronics customers will immediately benefit from Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd's leading three-year warranty and technical support expertise and other support services will be introduced over the coming months".

Martin Cottle has joined Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd from Samsung Electronics' European security business as Sales Manager for the Nordic and Benelux regions.
