Samsung Techwin introduce the SVR-480 DVR
Samsung Techwin expands its range of digital recording solutions with the launch of the SVR-480 DVR
Samsung Techwin has further expanded its range of digital recording solutions with the launch of the SVR-480, a competitively priced four channel DVR with a built-in web server for network capability.

The SVR-480 can simultaneously record real time D1 resolution images and audio across all four channels, providing a cost effective but high performance digital recording solution for small retail stores and offices.

Multi-streaming support allows users to minimise the SVR-480 bandwidth requirements with a wide selection of video resolutions and frame rates available for real-time monitoring. Users may, for example, choose to remotely view live JPEG compressed images, whilst at the same time record D1 resolution images using MPEG-4. An integral Web Viewer allows authorised users to observe live video from any PC on the network.

As well as optimising hard drive space through regular event or scheduled recordings, the SVR-480 can be programmed to protect recordings triggered by an alarm being automatically overwritten when a hard drive is full. The SVR-480 also includes an audio detection feature so that sound is only recorded when an alarm or event occurs or when the sound is detected at a specific level. A built-in high speed DVD writer and USB output both provide users with an easy method of backing up.

The SVR-480, which offers the option of keyboard controller, remote controller or mouse control options, is compatible with ATM, POS and access control systems. Text data from these devices can be saved along with associated images and played back at a later date should an incident need to be investigated.

In addition to being able to control Samsung Techwin's full range of Speed Domes, the SVR-480 also features multi-protocols to control other manufacturers' domes.

Samsung Techwin's ambition to maintain its position as one of Europe's leading professional security brands is reflected in the company's move to incorporate fourteen languages into the SVR-480 on-screen menu options and as is the case with all Samsung Techwin DVRs, the SVR-480 is supplied complete with a full three year warranty and licence-free Centralized Management Software (CMS), which gives users full control, from anywhere on the network, of the DVR's functions.
