Samsung’s new range of cameras incorporate its new WiseNetIII DSP chipset |
Samsung has totally redesigned the stand it had at last year with the objective of making it easier for visitors to learn which of the company’s extensive range of IP network access control and video surveillance products are the ideal match for specific applications and environments.
Installers, system integrators and end- users who visit the Samsung stand will see that it has been divided into various vertical market zones, such as retail, education, commercial and transportation, each zone will allow visitors to identify the best combination of equipment to meet the requirements of individual projects. There will also be an opportunity to get hands on with the products and meet with the Samsung technical and training team.
“Within each zone we will be able to demonstrate the key features of a specific camera model or recording device and how it can best help provide the solution to monitor what may be a range of activities within that market sector,” said Peter Ainsworth, Senior Product Manager for Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd. “In retail, for example, there are many different reasons why a video surveillance system may be deployed such as the need to deter and detect shop theft, ensure health & safety compliance and record activity in car parks, delivery bays and at the point of sale.”
The concept behind the design of the new stand reflects Samsung’s commitment to making it easy for customers to make the transition from using an existing analogue system to IP network based access control or video surveillance solution.
New 2MP Full HD (1080P) network camera range
Although the features are being kept firmly under wraps, Samsung has announced that it will be taking the opportunity at IFSEC 2013 to launch a range of Full HD (1080P) network cameras and domes which incorporate Samsung’s new WiseNetIII DSP chipset. The new models have been developed as a result of a market research programme which identified what users and installers felt were the key ‘must haves’ in order for high definition IP network cameras to automatically become the preferred choice when a new video surveillance system was being specified, or an existing system was being upgraded.
Samsung can be found on Stand D130 in Hall 5 at IFSEC 2013, which takes place on 13-16 May 2013 at the NEC Birmingham.
