AMG Systems appoints Richard Hobson as technical support for its CCTV equipment
Richard has enjoyed a long career working in the security industry
AMG Systems announces that Richard Hobson has joined the technical support team. Richard brings vast and valuable technical know-how and experience into his new position with AMG. He joins AMG from a position as Product and Technical Manager at CBC UK Ltd., a company well known in the security industry for Computar lenses and the Ganz range of CCTV products.

Prior to that, Richard has enjoyed a long career working in the security industry. Starting at the Ministry of Defence as an Assistant Science officer, he subsequently filled technical/product support roles at Norbain, Initial Shorrock, VCL (Honeywell) and GE Security in Belgium.

"I am absolutely delighted that Richard has joined our Technical Support Team," says Founder and MD of AMG Systems, Dr. Alan Hayes. "AMG Systems has always been known for its high quality Technical Support directly from our R&D Department. Although 2009 was a tough year in some segments of the industry, particularly in the UK, I am pleased to report that AMG had a very good year within areas such as tunnels, bridges, prisons and highways. As we continue to expand our activities, I am convinced that our customers will benefit greatly from Richard's knowledge of the CCTV and security industry."

Richard Hobson comments: "Having worked in much larger international organisations I was keen to work for a manufacturer whose core R&D and manufacturing is based primarily in the UK, but with a growing worldwide customer base. AMG is the cutting-edge in analogue fibre optic transmission solutions. But, I am also excited to be helping to bring onboard new transmission technologies including Ethernet switches, Wireless IP and UTP product ranges. I am very much looking forward to the challenge of developing and growing AMG's technical capability and supporting its customers in the future."

Richard has a BTEC/HND in Electronic and Mechanical Engineering from Bromley College of Technology. In the summer, Richard typically spends his weekend kite surfing on the UK coastline and in the winter he's a keen Snowboarder in the European Alps.

AMG Systems has always been renowned for the company's technical support and design services. Across the globe clients have come to appreciate the direct contact to the manufacturer's technical department and their fast turn around time whenever there may be an issue or a query. As a general transmission solutions expert AMG is catering to all transmission technologies, which means, that clients' design and training requirements are driving the training activities, and where necessary, AMG will also arrange bespoke training matching special requirements.
