Symmetry EN-2DBC offers easy to install controller option for organisations looking to deploy a distributed IP-based access control system
The Symmetry EN-2DBC supports two doors and utilises Power over Ethernet

AMAG Technology, the world’s most installed access control and integrated security solution developer, introduces the Symmetry™ EN-2DBC Network Controller. The Symmetry EN-2DBC offers a flexible, easy to install controller option for organisations looking to deploy a distributed IP-based access control system, expand their current access control system, secure only a few doors or upgrade their legacy system.

The Symmetry EN-2DBC supports two doors and utilises Power over Ethernet (and PoE+), where installers need to run only a single Ethernet cable that carries both power and data to the controller. This allows greater flexibility in locating the controller on the network and decreases installation time, saving money.

Now available in a new, sleekly designed Plenum Rated enclosure, the network controller supports 90,000 card holders and 18,000 transactions.

The Symmetry EN-2DBC contains four general purpose inputs to monitor additional security devices or areas not equipped with a card reader. Two general purpose outputs provide flexible options for enhanced security.

“End users will find the Symmetry EN-2DBC delivers a flexible and affordable solution that is easy to install,” said AMAG Technology, Product Manager, David Weinbach. “The additional inputs and outputs provide additional flexibility and will enhance security in any situation.”

The Symmetry EN-2DBC requires the newly released Symmetry V8.0.1 access control software, and can be used with Symmetry Business, Professional and Enterprise versions.

The Symmetry EN-2DBC:

  • Provides two door support
  • Supports Wiegand and Symmetry MCLP reader protocols
  • Uses Power over Ethernet (PoE and PoE+ supported)
  • 4 auxiliary inputs/2 auxiliary outputs
  • Can operate with Symmetry Business, Professional and Enterprise versions.
  • Supports 90,000 card holders
  • Supports 18,000 transactions
  • Provides SNMP support
  • Requires Symmetry V8.0.1 or higher to operate

AMAG Technology will be launching the new Symmetry™ EN-2DBC Network Controller at ISC West in Las Vegas, 02-04 April, at the company’s booth #16099.
