Pelco is pleased to announce that the PelcoUTP active series of products won the Product Achievement Award for Video Storage and Distribution at the Security Industry Association's (SIA) 2007 New Product Showcase (NPS) during the recent ISC West 2007 trade show held in Las Vegas.

The active series consists of products ranging from a single-channel active transmitter and receiver to multi-channel video receivers that can modify video signal to compensate for long run lengths-up to 4,000 feet in full motion colour/black and white.  Each channel automatically compensates independently, based upon its associated video output, and the adaptive technology is available on all PelcoUTP Active Receiver modules.

"Adaptive Technology addresses the key issues surrounding the use of UTP cable transmission," said Dave deLisser, Senior Product Manager, Integrated Systems.  "It makes the installer much more effective by eliminating the common errors that surround the use of twisted pair cable transmission - Adaptive Technology measures the incoming signal and adjusts the low, medium, and high frequency components, ensuring the best possible video transmission."

With its strong brand recognition, excellent features and design, as well as the Pelco commitment to 100% customer satisfaction, PelcoUTP is now also an award-winning product.  PelcoUTP products fully complement the PelcoFiber product offering and are compatible with all Pelco products where coax cable can be used.

SIA is an international trade association representing electronic and physical security product manufacturers, specifiers, and service providers.  Established in 1977, SIA's NPS is the industry's premier marketing and awards program recognising innovation in product design.
