This month, Paxton, market leaders in innovative access control, introduce an HID™ compatible reader range and the newly redesigned Backbox reader, to the market.

The HID™ reader range is a smart selection of readers compatible with HID™ format cards. These multi-format readers can be configured to read standard HIDTM cards, making them perfect for large sites wanting to use their existing cards with the Net2 access control system.

The HID™ range of proximity readers includes the mullion HID™ reader, the panel mount HID™ reader and the metal HID™ reader. The panel mount reader is designed to fit seamlessly to any existing door entry panel. The stylish design of the metal reader really stands out. Paxton's metal readers are ideally suited to a wide range of environments and can be mounted near metal objects without affecting the performance of the reader.

The new range is a real breakthrough for sites that wish to use Paxton's market leading access control system with HID™ format cards.

The popular Backbox reader has also been under the development microscope at Paxton's Brighton workshop.  The reader now comes in a slick new casing which looks extremely stylish and professional. The reader works with both Mifare and Net2 tokens. It has been redesigned to now accept hands-free tokens, making it ideal for wheelchair access and helping installers to meet DDA requirements.

The Backbox reader fits onto standard backboxes, making it exceptionally easy to install. The reader provides a neat solution for interior use on a new build or refitted buildings.
